Ranges & Stoves in Johnston, Rhode Island

A range is the appliance most people hang onto until it quits outright. We sell new, used and reconditioned gas and electric ranges in Johnston, and we repair any brand — bake element, igniter, control board and the rest. Get a free in-shop estimate before you decide whether to repair it or swap it.

New, used and reconditioned on the floor. We repair ranges and stoves too — any brand, and in-shop estimates are free.

What we carry

Ranges & Stoves — what we sell, and what we repair.

Stock turns over week to week, so the honest split is this: the first list is what was last confirmed on the floor, the second is the full range that comes across the bench.

Confirmed on the floor

  • Gas ranges
  • Electric ranges

Types we work on

  • Freestanding electric coil
  • Freestanding electric smooth top
  • Freestanding gas
  • Slide-in
  • Double oven range
  • Dual fuel
  • Compact 20-24 inch
  • Drop-in
Before you buy

Measure first. Then argue about the badge.

The things that decide which one fits your house, in the order they usually come up at the counter.

01

Gas and electric are not swappable. You get the one the kitchen is already wired or plumbed for, unless you're paying an electrician or a plumber.

02

Standard width is 30 inches, but 20 and 24 inch ranges exist for older Rhode Island kitchens and apartment units.

03

Freestanding has finished sides and a back control panel. Slide-in is made to sit flush between cabinets with the controls in front.

04

Coil elements are cheap and easy to replace. Smooth tops look better but will crack if something heavy lands on them.

05

Convection helps baking come out even. Self-clean is convenient but it's hard on door latches and control boards.

06

Switching between natural gas and propane requires the correct conversion kit for that exact model.

The other half of the shop

We repair ranges and stoves, too.

Any brand, whether it came from us or from somewhere else ten years ago, and in-shop estimates are free. These are the faults that come across the bench most often — if yours is on this list, get it looked at before you replace anything.

  • Oven won't heat — bake element, broil element, igniter, or gas safety valve
  • Oven runs hot or cold from a failed temperature sensor
  • Surface burner won't light, or clicks continuously once lit
  • One or more coil or smooth-top elements dead
  • Touch panel or control board unresponsive
  • Oven door out of square or a failed hinge
  • Door locked shut after a self-clean cycle
  • Oven light or interior wiring failure

Not sure whether it is worth repairing? That is the question a free in-shop estimate answers, and we will tell you when the answer is no.

Ask for a price

Ask about a specific machine.

Prices are set at the counter on the actual machine, so a phone call is the fastest way to get a real answer on a real unit instead of a range that means nothing.
