Refrigerators in Johnston, Rhode Island

The refrigerator is the one appliance that can't wait — when it quits, the clock starts on everything inside it. We sell new, used and reconditioned refrigerators off the floor in Johnston, so you can open the actual unit, measure it against your kitchen and know what you are getting before you pay for it. If the one you have is worth saving, we'll tell you that first — in-shop estimates are free.

New, used and reconditioned on the floor. We repair refrigerators too — any brand, and in-shop estimates are free.

A photograph of the shop, not of a listing. Used and reconditioned machines are one of a kind, so the unit you buy is the one you looked at.

What we carry

Refrigerators — what we sell, and what we repair.

Stock turns over week to week, so the honest split is this: the first list is what was last confirmed on the floor, the second is the full range that comes across the bench.

Confirmed on the floor

  • Top freezer
  • Side-by-side
  • French door

Types we work on

  • Top freezer
  • Bottom freezer
  • Side-by-side
  • French door
  • Counter-depth
  • Compact / dorm
  • Built-in
Before you buy

Measure first. Then argue about the badge.

The things that decide which one fits your house, in the order they usually come up at the counter.

01

Measure twice — height, width, and depth with the doors open, plus every doorway, hallway and stair turn the box has to get through.

02

French door and side-by-side units need more swing room in front than a plain top-freezer does.

03

You need a water line behind the fridge for an ice maker or a door dispenser. No line means no ice.

04

Counter-depth looks built-in but holds noticeably less than a standard-depth box of the same width.

05

This is the appliance that runs 24/7, so efficiency actually shows up on the bill.

06

On a used or reconditioned unit, ask what was repaired and how the cooling was checked before you buy.

The other half of the shop

We repair refrigerators, too.

Any brand, whether it came from us or from somewhere else ten years ago, and in-shop estimates are free. These are the faults that come across the bench most often — if yours is on this list, get it looked at before you replace anything.

  • Not cooling — or freezer cold while the fridge side stays warm
  • Ice maker stopped producing, jammed, or froze over
  • Water leaking onto the floor or pooling under the crisper drawers
  • Compressor running constantly and never cycling off
  • Frost build-up from a failed defrost heater, timer or thermostat
  • Loud condenser or evaporator fan noise
  • Door gasket torn or no longer sealing
  • Control board or temperature sensor failure

Not sure whether it is worth repairing? That is the question a free in-shop estimate answers, and we will tell you when the answer is no.

Ask for a price

Ask about a specific machine.

Prices are set at the counter on the actual machine, so a phone call is the fastest way to get a real answer on a real unit instead of a range that means nothing.
